Day Five – Visiting Worcester

We met up at school this morning at 8:40 am in the pouring rain! It truly was raining cats and dogs!

David our bus driver, drove us to Worcester where the guides at Worcester Cathedral were waiting for us.

We arrived on time and the weather was much better.

We were in 3 groups visiting the famous Cathedral. We discovered the history of the Cathedral from the Middle Ages until today and we saw the tombs of Prince Arthur, Henry VIII’s older brother and of King John, the wicked prince during the time of Robin Hood.

Our guides spoke in English and answered all of our questions – even the questions about the pink giraffe in the window!

After our visit the sun came out and so we ate our picnic outside.

Then we went for a quick tour of the town centre, visiting the historical, Tudor houses and finishing with some very modern street art!

We arrived back at school to meet up with our hosts for the end of the day at 3 pm.
